Henry #rags-to-riches

SWEET, STRONG SURVIVOR

DOB 9/1/22

Hey there, everyone! I’m Henry, a sweet, gentle, easygoing bicolor fella, which means that my thick, plush coat is mostly white with gray tabby on my head, saddleback, and tail. I’m an expert nap enthusiast who always looks forward to my next adventure in the dream world!

I was a stray who looked “worse for the wear” when I started hanging out in my future foster meowmy’s yard. Hoomans, other cats, and life in general had not treated me well in the past, so I was hesitant to trust Foster Meowmy. She was extremely patient with me, however, and soon realized that the way to my heart was through my stomach. As she wooed me with yummy food, I eventually allowed her to bring me inside. It didn’t take me long to realize the great gratitude that I owed my foster family, so I’ve become quite sociable now that I’m an indoor cat who enjoys all the amenities of being inside.

When Foster Meowmy got me fully vetted, she discovered that I not only had an itchy skin infection (which she treated) but also I was positive for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV+), which I probably contracted from the deep bite wound from another cat. It was heartbreaking news, but I knew I could continue being the strong survivor I’ve always been. Since FeLV can be passed on "casually" by sharing food bowls and litter boxes, I should be kept separate from other household cats. Solitude has never been an issue for me as I rather enjoy the luxury of my relaxation time. Of course, it would be perfect if I could be adopted into a home with another FeLV+ kitty who needs a companion!

Now that I’m fat and sassy, I’m ready to become the cushion connoisseur in my new family. Could that be you? Arrange to meet me today! I promise to halve your sorrows and double your joys if you take me home with you!
