Hey there, everyone! I'm Peep, a little “tabico” (tabby-calico) with a big presence and an even bigger desire to peep my way into your heart. I’ve got that classic calico attitude that I’d love to tell you all about. I might make you work for my trust, but once you’ve earned it, you’ll fall completely in love. I’m an absolute affectionate sweetheart wrapped in a layer of attitude — the very best kind. Underneath my cheeky posture, I’m an adorable, soft kitty through and through.
Sometimes I pretend I don’t want affection, but I regret that stance almost immediately. A girl can change her mind. And even if it seems like I don’t want to be hugged, the moment I’m cradled in your arms or snuggled against your neck, I turn into a tiny feline koala. I wrap my soft paws around you and relax like I was always meant to be there. If you put me on your lap, I’ll happily curl up with you so we can watch the world go by or binge on a whole show together. I’ll stretch out on the bed or sofa, and even though I sometimes act like I don’t love holding paw-to-hand with “my people,” don’t believe the act.
At first, I may peep at you from a distance with my tough-girl, slightly scared expression, pretending I’m all sass — but underneath that fierce exterior is a playful, loving girl whose heart melts the moment I feel safe. With a little patience and once I decide you’re my person, I’ll greet you with joyful enthusiasm . . . and yes, I’ll absolutely scream about it. Excited Peep has a lot to say — honestly, any mood of mine has something to say. With me around, your home will never be truly quiet — I have a whole symphony of peeps ready for any occasion. My foster meowmy calls me the Mariah Carey of Christmas because of the range of my vocal abilities. But with all those sounds comes a vibe of warmth, coziness, and pure delight. I get along well with other cats. Like with humans, I just like to peep around first and make sure everyone’s good before I become friends.
Food is my passion, though — my stomach is a bottomless pit, and I’ll unleash my most dramatic peeps when I think a lickable snack might be nearby -- or if it’s one minute past mealtime. That may come from my early days, when I faced food insecurity and relied on the kindness of a stranger who would stop at a gas station on his way to the bus stop just to bring food to me and my feline family. Peep’s $125 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites.
