Hey there, everyone! I’m Salem, an easygoing, calm, and very friendly Bombay mix fella who thrives on hooman attention and affection. My very outgoing personality allows me to play host when visitors come over as I insist on interacting with everyone. My attentiveness surprises and flatters them, so not surprisingly, I'm a bit hit at parties. I can be somewhat of a Velcro cat as I love being near my foster pawrents, so I can often be found snuggling in someone’s lap or next to them on their bed.
I was a friendly neighborhood stray who "came with the house" that Foster Meowmy’s daughter bought. She figured I’d been someone’s pet who’d been abandoned when my owner moved away. Someone had neutered and released me (hence, my clipped left ear), but when she invited me inside, I graciously accepted and assimilated easily with her resident cats. Unfortunately a few years later she needed to move and couldn’t take me with her. Thankfully Foster Meowmy stepped up to foster me until I could find a new home through HOPE. Again, I fit in comfortably with her other foster kitties, and we have a grand time playing and sleeping together.
Now I’m in the market for a forever family who, in turn, is looking for an outgoing, laid-back, and handsome gent with a shiny, patent-leather coat on the outside and lots of love to go around on the inside. Salem’s $125 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites.
