Konnichiwa! (“Howdy” in Japanese) I'm a sweet Russian Blue fella with a heart as big as the city I'm named after. I’m a total lap cat who lives for cuddles, connection, and being part of your daily routine. No matter how big or small you are, I'll weave around your legs like a purrfect sushi roll and follow you from room to room just to stay close to you. I love being part of whatever you're doing, including being your sidekick to confirm that you've washed your face properly as a part of your morning abolutions.
I’m super affectionate and playful — I love to “make biscuits” on YOU as my favorite bakery, flop dramatically by your feet for a few belly scratches, and climb right into your lap to purr away. You could say I bring a little extra umami ("savory deliciousness" in Japanese) to everyday life. I'm also curious, and I get along great with other cats, cat-friendly dogs, and even young children — I fit in anywhere, just like the perfect dish on a sushi platter.
My story started with a bit of fate. I got my name because my rescuers first met me as they walked out of a sushi restaurant. I had likely been dumped but was still brimming with trust and love, so I immediately began weaving through their legs to ask for affection – as if I already knew that I belonged to them. Then I hopped right into their car the moment they opened the door — no hesitation, just hoping I wouldn’t be left behind again. Talk about taking the express train to find my furever home . . .
As soon as they picked me up inside their car, I started purring and making biscuits immediately — I knew that I was safe. Back then I was tiny, underweight, and a little scruffy, but look at me now! I’ve blossomed into a handsome boy with a soft coat and an even softer heart. Now I’m ready to be your sweet, cuddly companion who will stick to you like rice, maki-roll with you through life, and tempura-fill your days with love. Let’s make this the start of our purrfect little bento-box life together.
