Hey there, everyone! I’m Cheddar, an affectionate, ultra-friendly, and cuddly red tabby fella who’s a muscular Gentle Giant through and through. Outgoing Mr. Congeniality that I am, I adore hoomans of all ages and happily greet guests whenever I meet them. Nothing makes me happier than to be right in the center of all the activity. Affection is my specialty, and I’ll eagerly head-butt people for their attention, weave around their legs, and purr with contentment just to be near them. When the day winds down, I’m happiest curled up beside someone on the couch as we binge on Netflix or Animal Planet together. At bedtime, I sleep snuggled next to my 7-year-old hooman sister.
But I’m no couch potato! No siree! Though fully grown, I still have plenty of kitten-like energy. I’m an athletic, playful cat who loves chasing wand toys and would thrive in a home that offers lots of enrichment. Sturdy cat furniture and a tall cat tower would be perfect for my climbing, stretching, and scratching needs. Curious, clever, and full of life, I love to explore my surroundings and stay right at the center of it all. True confessions: I have a spirited nature and sometimes I can be a little too rough with my 4-year-old sister if she doesn’t handle me as I prefer.
Foster Meowmy first met me as a friendly stray in an overcrowded apartment complex where the community cats weren’t safe or welcome. She assumes that I’d been someone’s’ pet before my deadbeat owner moved out and left me behind. Thank heavens she brought me to the safe haven of her home, and I was more than ready to kiss the hardscrabble outdoor life goodbye and move right into her cozy home filled with love, comfort, and plenty of pampering.
Now I’m ready to bring my warm, generous heart -- that’s as big as my personality -- to bless my forever family.
