WANNA PLAY FETCH?

DOB 4/1/25

Hey there, everyone! I’m Neptune, a handsome, playful brown tabby fella with white tuxedo markings on my chest, paws, and tummy. I love it when Foster Meowmy scratches my chin, ears, and cheeks as well as when she gives me “bum bongos.” In case you don’t know, that means I like for her to pretend that she’s playing the bongos on my back near my tail. Boy howdy! Does that feel good, even though it’s admittedly quirky. If I see Foster Meowmy giving my foster mate Mars “bum bongos,” you can bet that I’ll come running to get in on the action.

I love interactive games with Foster Meowmy -- like playing fetch, although I usually don’t return the toy but expect her to grab it. I also adore swatting the feathered wand toy when she teases me with it. When I need to entertain myself, I’m a regular soccer striker when I maneuver fuzzy balls all around the room. And I love to scale to the top of cat trees and scratchers and become king of the mountain!

When I was about ten weeks old, my feral “foster” cat-momma escorted me to Foster Meowmy’s front-porch community-cat feeding station. I’d never been around hoomans before, so I ran away every time Foster Meowmy opened the door. Imagine my surprise when, after feeding me for a few days, she grabbed me when I wasn’t looking and brought me – protesting vehemently -- inside. After I spent a week alone in a crate (hissing and cowering in a corner when she scooped my litter box), Foster Meowmy introduced me to Mars, another foster kitten almost my same age. We became fast friends, playmates, and cuddle buddies – as if we’d always known each other. Since I was so skittish of hoomans, Mars became my emotional-support sister and eventually convinced me that I could trust Foster Meowmy and occasionally allow her to scratch me affectionately. Thus began a new chapter in my life . . . and a whole new world of enrichment.

Thank heavens Foster Meowmy knew that I needed to seek her attention on my own accord, so she didn’t rush my socialization. If she approached me too quickly, I’d run away but soon come back to her when she called me in a baby voice. Whereas I’m not a lap cat and don’t like to be held, I adore the way Foster Meowmy plays the bongo on my bum, scratches my head, plays fetch with me, and waves the wand toy over my head to encourage my acrobatic lunges. We’re best friends who always share fun and games, which is right up my alley.

Now I’m ready to bless my forever family with my playful spirit and entertaining cavorting. Could that be you? I’m always ready to offer my body for your bongo-playing! In case you’re in the market for a pair of young cats, Mars and I think it would be the cat’s meow if we could be adopted together. Two is more fun anyway! Arrange to meet me today! Just don’t expect for me to bring back the fuzzy toy that I’ve fetched!
