Hey there, everyone! I’m Penelope, an outgoing, affectionate, and easygoing black Maine Coon/ domestic longhaired mix gal with a big plume of a tail and a white locket. I love spending quiet time cuddled in my Foster Meowmy’s lap or napping with her in bed. But I’m no couch potato! No siree! I adore playing with the tower-of-balls, lunging at the feathered wand toy, and tossing my catnip mouse around the room. In my solitary moments, I enjoy watching “kitty TV” by observing the wildlife scamper, crawl, and fly by my window perch as well as hanging out in the hammock or on the cat tree.
Foster Meowmy spotted me crying behind a house. When I saw her, I immediately came running. I was so friendly and trusting that I entered a carrier voluntarily. I knew instinctively that I was on the way out of the miserable hardscrabble life of a stray to a safe indoor haven! Doing her due diligence, Foster Meowmy took me to the vet to be scanned for a microchip, which I did have, but sadly my owners did not respond to her phone calls. I was young, beautiful, friendly, and already spayed, but I’d obviously been abandoned to fend for myself! Thank heavens my sweet disposition and confidence in the inherent goodness of hoomans have helped me be resilient despite my deadbeat owner’s rejection.
I’ve fit in beautifully with the resident kitties in my foster home, and I’m very well behaved with perfect litter box and scratching manners. Now I’m ready to mutually cherish my forever family as we cuddle and interactively play together. Could that be you? Arrange to meet me! My heart has so much love to give – all I need is YOU!

Penelope’s $125 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites.
