Hey there, everyone! I’m Rufus, an outgoing, energetic, and playful red tabby fella with white tuxedo markings who’s the fearless leader of my three siblings. I'm always the first to investigate a new toy, conquer the cat tree, or convince them that it's time to play. Once playtime is over, I might seem a little wiggly when Foster Meowmy first scoops me up, but my little purr motor starts almost instantly. Then I happily melt into her arms, soaking up every pet and cuddle, until I'm one big, contented puddle of orange fluff.
I might be a little cautious when meeting new people, but after the start my family had, I think that's understandable. You see, my momma Harlow birthed my litter as a friendly stray in an apartment complex where the delinquent kids shot BB's at us. Thankfully a Good Samaritan rescued us and arranged for us to find a safe haven in our Foster Meowmy’s home. Now I love tumbling and pouncing, chasing and wrestling with my siblings. If there's an adventure to be had, chances are I'm already leading the way in an orange -- and a little clumsy -- fashion. I often climb to the very top of the cat tree so I can keep an eye on the birds and squirrels outside.
Now I’m ready to be the confident explorer, champion cuddler, and sweetest little leader that my forever home has ever seen. Could I be just the kitten you’ve been looking for? Then arrange to meet me! Remember that I could be a little tentative when we start getting acquainted, but give me a little encouragement, and my playful, affectionate personality will come shining through. Although we’re available separately, my twin brother Rudy and I think it would be the cat’s meow if we were adopted together. That way we could be playmates and cuddle buddies while you’re at work or on vacation.

Rufus’ $125 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites.
