Hey there, everyone! I’m Ugly Betty, but let me clear something up right away -- I’m anything but ugly! I was given my name because the family who cared for me dumped me outside after deciding they didn’t have room for me once my Siamese kitten came along. They thought my kitten looked prettier and more "special," and I was abandoned to fend for myself against some unkind people and Lothario tomcats in their apartment complex.
But here’s what they didn’t know -- beauty isn’t about being exotic looking. It’s about what’s in your heart, and my heart is absolutely overflowing with love and joy. Pet me just a tad bit, and you’ll hear my answer loud and clear -- PURRRRRR! I adore affection, my head loves being massaged, and I’m always happy to love on my person. I’ll come running when you call because I’m excited to see you. I enjoy being held and dancing around to Foster Meowmy‘s bee-bopping to classic dance jams. I’m ready to be someone’s special girl -- the one who is chosen, cherished, and never left behind again.
I’m easygoing (and maybe that’s why I tolerate it when Foster Meowmy carries me around the house while she dances) and wonderfully affectionate, but don’t think I’m all cuddles! I have plenty of playful energy, too. Put a wand toy in front of me, and I’ll happily chase it around. I also get along wonderfully with other cats, so I’m perfectly happy sharing my home with feline friends.
I may have been treated like I was replaceable, but my foster family has taught me that I am anything but that. I’m a beautiful brown tabby with a smudged-lipsticked mouth, clear bright and slightly silly eyes, a huge heart, a loud purr, and plenty of love left over to give. Maybe my name is Ugly Betty, but I am totally "beautiful Betty" inside and out.

Ugly Betty’s $125 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites.
