Hey there, everyone! I’m Nori, a sleek, velvety-soft black cat bursting with umami goodness. I’m the purrfect sushi roll: sweet lap cat, gentle nose-kisser, easygoing and intelligent cuddler. I even look like I’m smiling, as if I know a little funny secret. Basically, I’m the good-for-you kind of snack —high in nutrients for the soul, low in calories and chaos, and 100% affection that’s somehow impossible not to crave.
I’m a loving little shadow without being overly needy. I’ll rub against your legs, lounge nearby, curl up beside you, or simply keep you company while you go about your day. I’m a lap cat who loves being held and cuddled, and I’ll reward you with the most soothing, low little purr. I’m the kind of companion who adds a little extra flavor to everyday life without ever overwhelming the dish.
Wherever you go, I’m likely to follow—not because I need constant attention, but because I’m curious and believe someone has to keep tabs on things. Close a door without inviting me in? You may see the cutest, most desperate little paw reaching underneath it. Bathroom time? I consider that an invitation to climb onto your lap. Sitting on the couch? Obviously, that’s an invitation for me to flop beside you or curl up against you.
Of course, even the sweetest snack has a salty side. Don’t let my innocent face fool you—I can orchestrate a little chaos. One of my favorite games is tapping a roll of paper towels onto the floor for my foster cat siblings, who lack my “manners” and happily shred it into tiny pieces. Me? I simply supervise from nearby. Someone has to manage the operation.
I’m social, gentle, and laid-back, so it’s no surprise that I get along well with other cats and kids. I’ll happily greet strangers, but my loyal heart is reserved for the people I know and love. And given my background, that trust is especially remarkable. I was rescued from an apartment complex where cats were sadly not treated kindly. The other cats and I endured frightening and harmful treatment. Despite what I experienced, I never lost my trust in people. I remained affectionate, gentle, and trusting.
I’m comfort food in cat form: warm, soothing, and best enjoyed curled up beside you, wrapped in the softest fur, with my quiet, low-base purr humming away. I’m good for the soul—and I’m ready to be savored, cherished, and loved. Nori’s $125 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites.
